Welcome to WithinReach Resources!

Do you ever have thoughts in your mind that you want to get out to make more room in your head? Well, I do so I took action and created this blog. I am sharing four of my passions: career advising, seva (selfless service), personal growth and travel tips.

Career Advising

I spent over 20 years providing career advising while working in the Chico State Internship Center and Career Center. I took pride in developing strong working relationships with a plethora of employers in the private, public and non profit sectors. I also actively listened to students and alumni while developing career paths with them. I retired in 2021 and returned part time in 2022. Now I am retired from Chico State however I do provide career advising for a select number of clients. If you are interested in setting up a free career consultation, please schedule an appointment via this link: https://koalendar.com/u/withinreachken

Seva (selfless service)

My wife, Kathy and I have volunteered in Mexico for over 15 years at an after school program called La Casa de los Ninos. Kathy is the Educational Liason, as she assists teachers with curriculum and teaching techniques. Kathy facilitates drum cirlces with the kids and leads art lessons. I assist Kathy and take photos to capture the learning and joy that takes place at La Casa de los Ninos. My son, Henry has lived in India on Amma’s ashram in Kerala for 12 years. I visited him in 2024 for a month. I quickly learned that the large ashram thrives as a result in seva (selfless service). People living on the ashram and visitors participate in seva. It was amazing to witness and take part in a busy, yet fulfilling act of service to others. Henry cooks, delivers food and sets up the stage for Amma’s evening program. I assisted Henry with his food delivery to the three restaurants on the ashram.

I have a list below of some seva opportunities:

La Casa de los Ninos, an after school enrichment program (focusing on art, music, theater and physical education) in Lo de Marcos, Mexico. My wife and I have volunteered here for many years.

https://www.facebook.com/lacasa2005/?locale=es_LA

Seva Foundation, a non-profit organization focusing on bringing vision to those in the world with limited or no eyesight.

https://www.seva.org/site/PageServer

Reasons to be Cheerful, a site developed by Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne. It focuses on positive changes in communities around the world. I find it very uplifting in difficult social times.

Personal Growth

Featuring techniques for Transforming Yourself, Books of Interest, Song Lyrics That Move Me & Inspiring Quotes

This is another very large topic. I have found that I seek opportunities to grow personally throughout my life. As I mentioned earlier traveling is a great way to learn. While visiting my son in India I had the opportunity to participate in a five day silent retreat. I, along with 21 othe participants were silent and every morning we were led through 90 minutes of yoga. That was followed by a spiritual talk, lasting 30 minutes. The rest of the day included very healthy vegetarian food and time to rest. I was amazed at how my heavy emotions and neative thoughts I started with vanished within the first day. I also realized that everything before this retreat that came out of my mouth I already knew. So, being quiet allowed me to actively listen with a strong intent to learn. I also read, take classes and network with many people.

I am not a member of a specific religion however I do seek out spiritual books, blogs and movies. So, I post resources here for people to peruse.

 Techniques for Transforming Yourself

My wife and I have utilized Hypnosis Therapy to enhance our relationship.  Tapping into our subconscious has freed up stuck emotions and helped us breakthrough to new ways of communicating in our marriage.  We have secured the services of La Alegria Hypnosis and have been very pleased with our sessions.  Please visit their website at:  http://www.laalegriahypnosis.com

While visiting my son at Amma’s ashram in India I participated in a five day silent retreat.  To clarify the 22 participants were silent and enjoyed the daily yoga instructions as well as the spiritual talks provided by the facilitators.  I went into this silent retreat with a lot of emotional baggage.  I was apprehensive about the process and what might come up for me.  I thought maybe the days would go okay and was more concerned about the nights in my room by myself.  I was very pleasantly surprised when my first night was void of any emotionally baggage, it had vanished!  The rest of the silent retreat went to well that I decided to sign up for a seven day silent retreat from 7am – 9:30am daily.  It was comprised of 90 minutes of yoga, a 30 minute spiritual talk followed by a delicious vegetarian breakfast.  I highly recommend these silent retreats.

Song Lyrics That Move Me:

Look for the Good

Look For The Good

Song written by Jason Mraz, Abby Leah Dorsey, Chaska Lela Potter, Jeff Allan Berkley, Mai Bloomfield, Michael Goldwasser, Mona Tavakoli & Rebecca Emily Gebhardt

Look for the good in everything

Look for the people who will set your soul free

It always seems impossible until it’s done

Look for the good in everyone People done gone crazy, people done gone mad People done forgot the superpowers we all have We were born to love, not hate, we can decide our fate And look for the good in everyone and celebrate all our mistakes If there’s a silver lining (silver lining) You still have to find it, find it, find it Look for the good in everything Look for the people who will set your soul free It always seems impossible until it’s done Look for the good in everyone Everyone needs sunshine, everyone needs rain Everyone is carryin’ around some kind of pain I see who you are, you’re just like me I see you’re searching for a purpose, guided by a dream I see who you are, I’m just like you I get lost sometimes and I forget what I came here to do I keep on trying (keep on trying) When it gets frightening Look for the good in everything Look for the people who will set your soul free It always seems impossible until it’s done Look for the good, look for the good Look for the good in everyone Everyone is nature, everyone is God Everyone is love and light and vibration Look for the good, look for the good Everyone gets mad sometimes and maybe they should Look for the good, look for the good Yeah, look out for all the heroes in your neighborhood Look for the good, look for the good Life sure would be sweeter if everybody would Look for the good in everything Look for the people who will set your soul free It always seems impossible until it’s done Look for the good, look for the good Look for the good in everyone

Southern Cross

Song written by Stephen Stills, Rick Curtis & Michael Curtis

Ooh

Got out of town on a boat goin’ to Southern islands
Sailing a reach before a followin’ sea
She was makin’ for the trades on the outside
And the downhill run to Papeete

Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas
We got eighty feet of the waterline nicely making way
In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you
But on a midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away

Think about
Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me larger voices callin’
What Heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten

(Been around the world) I have been around the world
(Lookin’) Lookin’ for that woman girl
(Who knows she knows) Who knows love can endure
And you know it will

Yes

When you see the Southern Cross for the first time
You understand now why you came this way
‘Cause the truth you might be runnin’ from is so small
But it’s as big as the promise, the promise of a comin’ day

So I’m sailing for tomorrow my dreams are a dyin’
And my love is an anchor tied to you tied with a silver chain
I have my ship and all her flags are a’ flyin’
She is all that I have left and music is her name

Think about
Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me larger voices callin’
What Heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten

(I’ve been around the world) I have been around the world
(Lookin’) Lookin’ for that woman girl
Who knows love can endure
And you know it will, and you know it will
Yes

Ooh

So we cheated and we lied and we tested
And we never failed to fail, it was the easiest thing to do
You will survive being bested
Somebody fine will come along, make me forget about loving you
At the Southern Cross

Feel A Little Better

Song written by William Alexander Clark, Stephen Haldane Coore & Michael Kenneth Cooper

One, two, three

My music is so divine, it can make you
Feel a little better now
Stay with me all night, I rock you one time
Come on, come on, come on, I wanna make you
Feel a little better now

I don’t need no money
I don’t need no wine
To drive me insane
Mess up my brain

Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better
Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better

This music is sweeter than wine, it can make you
Feel a little better now
And it’s a long, long, long, long time
We no have a little nice time
Feel a little better now (yeah, can’t say no)

Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better
Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better

This music
Keeps me rocking all night long
And make me
Feel a little better now

Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better
Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better
Come make we dub it and to feel a little better now
Come make we rub it and to feel a little better

Come make we dub it
Feel a little better
Feel a little better
Feel a little better
Feel a little better
Feel a little better
Time to feel a little better

Don’t Dream it’s Over

Song written by Neil Finn

… There is freedom within, there is freedom without
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup
There’s a battle ahead, many battles are lost
But you’ll never see the end of the road while you’re travelling with me

… Hey now, hey now
Don’t dream it’s over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know, they won’t win

… Now I’m towing my car, there’s a hole in the roof
My possessions are causing me suspicion, but there’s no proof
In the paper today, tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the TV page

… Hey now, hey now
Don’t dream it’s over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
We know, they won’t win

… Now I’m walking again to the beat of a drum
And I’m counting the steps to the door of your heart
Only shadows ahead, barely clearing the roof
Get to know the feeling of liberation and release

… Hey now, hey now
Don’t dream it’s over
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in
They come, they come
To build a wall between us
You know, they won’t win

… Don’t let them win (hey now, hey now)
Hey now, hey now
Hey now, hey now
Don’t let them win (they come, they come)
Don’t let them win (hey now, hey now), yeah
Hey now, hey now
Hey

Right Place Wrong Time

Song written by Malcolm Rebennack aka Dr. John

I been in the right place
But it must have been the wrong time
I’d have said the right thing
But must have used the wrong line
I been on the right trip
But I must have used the wrong car
Head is in a bad place and I wonder what it’s good for

I been in the right place
But it must have been the wrong time
My head is in a bad place
But I’m having such a good time
I’ve been running trying to get hung up in my mind
Really got to give myself a good talking to this time

Just need a little brain salad surgery
I got to que my insecurity

But I’ve been in the wrong place
But it must have been the right time
I been in the right place
But it must have been the wrong song
I been in the right vein
But it seems like a wrong arm
I been in the right world
But it seems like wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong

Slipping, dodging, sneaking, creeping, hiding out down the street
See my life shaking with every who I meet
Refried confusion is making itself clear
Wonder which way do I go to get on out of here

But I been in the right place
But it must have been the wrong time
I’d have said the right thing
But I must have used the wrong line
I took the right road
But I must have took a wrong turn
I took a right move
But I made it at the wrong time

I was in the right trip
But I made it in the wrong car
Head is in a good place, and I wonder what it’s bad for

Just One Victory

Song written by Todd Rundgren

We’ve been waiting so long (ooh)
We’ve been waiting so long (ooh)
We’ve been waiting for the sun to rise and shine (ooh)
Shining still to give us the will

Can you hear me, the sound of my voice?
I am here to tell you I have made my choice
I’ve been listening to what’s been going down
There’s just too much talk and gossip going ’round

You may think that I’m a fool, but I know the answer
Words become a tool, anyone can use them
Take the golden rule as the best example
Eyes that have seen will know what I mean

The time has come (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
To take the bull by the horns (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
We’ve been so downhearted (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
We’ve been so forlorn (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)
We get weak (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
And we want to give in (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
But we still need each other (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
If we want to win (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)

If you don’t know what to do about a world of trouble
You can pull it through if you need to
And if you believe it’s true, it will surely happen
Shining still to give us the will

We’ve been waiting so long (ooh, ooh, ooh)
We’ve been waiting so long (ooh, ooh, ooh)
We’ve been waiting for the sun to rise and shine (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Shining still to give us the will
Bright as the day to show us the way

Somehow, someday
We need just one victory, and we’re on our way
We’re prayin’ for it all day and fightin’ for it all night
Give us just one victory; it will be all right

We may feel about to fall, but we go down fighting (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
You will hear the call if you only listen (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Underneath it all, we are here together (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Shining still to give us the will
Bright as the day to show us the way

Somehow (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Someday (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
We need just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
And we’re on our way (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Prayin’ for it all day (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
And fightin’ for it all night (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
Give us just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
It will be all right (it’s gonna be alright)

Somehow (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Someday (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
It was just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
We’re on our way (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Prayin’ for it all day (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
And fightin’ for it all night (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
Give us just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
It will be all right

Somehow (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Someday (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
We need just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
And we’re on our way (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Prayin’ for it all day (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
And fightin’ for it all night (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
Just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
It will be all right (it’s gonna be alright)

Somehow (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Someday (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
Just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)
And we’re on our way (so hold that line, baby, hold that line)
Prayin’ for it all day (hold that line, baby, hold that line)
And fightin’ for it all night (get up, boys, and hit ’em one more time)
Give us just one victory (we may be losing now, but we can’t stop trying)

The Lucky One

Song written by Robert Lee Castleman

You’re the lucky one
So I’ve been told
As free as the wind
Blowing down the road
Loved by many, hated by none
I’d say you’re lucky ’cause I know what you’ve done
Not a care in the world
Not a worry in sight
Everything’s gonna be alright
‘Cause you’re the lucky one

You’re the lucky one
Always having fun
A jack of all trades a master none

You look at the world with a smiling eye
And laugh at the devil as his train goes by
Give you a song and a one night stand
And you’ll be looking at a happy man
‘Cause you’re the lucky one
Well you’re blessed I guess
By never knowing which road you’re choosing
To you the next best thing
To playing and winning is playing and losing

You’re the lucky one
I know that now
Don’t ask you why, when, where, or how

You look at the world through your smiling eye
And laugh at the devil as his train goes by
Give you a song and a one night stand
And you’ll be looking at a happy man
‘Cause you’re the lucky one
Well you’re blessed I guess
By never knowing which road you’re choosing
To you the next best thing
To playing and winning is playing and losing

You’re the lucky one I know that now
Don’t ask you why, when, where, or how
No matter where you’re at, it’s where you’ll be
You can bet your luck won’t follow me
Just give you a song and a one night stand
And you’ll be looking at a happy man
‘Cause you’re the lucky one

Smooth

Song written by Itaal Shur & Rob Thomas

Man, it’s a hot one
Like seven inches from the midday sun
Well, I hear you whisper and the words melt everyone
But you stay so cool
My muñequita, my Spanish Harlem Mona Lisa
You’re my reason for reason
The step in my groove

And if you said this life ain’t good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you’re so smooth
And it’s just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it’s the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin’ that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it

But I’ll tell you one thing
If you would leave it’d be a crying shame
In every breath and every word
I hear your name calling me out
Out from the barrio
You hear my rhythm on your radio
You feel the turning of the world, so soft and slow
It’s turning you round and round

And if you said this life ain’t good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you’re so smooth
Well, and it’s just like the ocean under the moon
Well, it’s the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin’ that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it

Well, and it’s just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it’s the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin’ that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it

Or else forget about it
Or else forget about it
Oh, let’s don’t forget about it
Give me your heart, make it real
Let’s don’t forget about it (hey)
Let’s don’t forget about it (now, oh, now, oh)
Let’s don’t forget about it (now, now, now, oh)
Let’s don’t forget about it (hey, now, now, oh)
Let’s don’t forget about it (hey, hey, hey)

My Girl

Song written by Smokey Robinson & Ronald White

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May

I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl, my girl, my girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl, my girl

I’ve got so much honey, the bees envy me
I’ve got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees

Well, I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl, my girl, my girl
Talkin’ ’bout my girl, my girl

The Harder They Come

Song written by Jimmy Cliff

Well, they tell me of a pie up in the sky
Waiting for me when I die
But between the day you’re born and when you die
They never seem to hear even your cry

So as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share now, what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Ooh, the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all

Well, the oppressors are trying to keep me down
Trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they’ve done

‘Cause, as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share now, what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Ooh, the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all

And I keep on fighting for the things I want
Though I know that when you’re dead you can’t
But I’d rather be a free man in my grave
Than living as a puppet or a slave

So as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share now, what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Ooh, the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all

Hey, the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Hey, the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Hey, the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all

All Things Must Pass

Song written by George Harrison

Sunrise doesn’t last all morning
A cloudburst doesn’t last all day
Seems my love is up
And has left you with no warning
It’s not always gonna be this grey

All things must pass
All things must pass away

Sunset doesn’t last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this my love is up
And must be leaving
But it’s not always going
To be this grey

All things must pass
All things must pass away

All things must pass
None of life’s strings can last
So I must be on my way
And face another day

Now the darkness only stays at night time
In the morning it will fade away
Daylight is good
At arriving at the right time
But it’s not always going
To be this grey

All things must pass
All things must pass away
All things must pass
All things must pass away

Show Some Emotion

Song written by Joan Armatrading

Show some emotion

Put expression in your eyes
Light up if you’re feeling happy
But if it’s bad then let those tears roll down

Some people hurting
Someone choking up inside
Some poor souls dying
Too proud to say they got no place to lie
And there’s people if they hear a joke
Can’t keep the laugh out of their eye
I said

Show some emotion
Put expression in your eyes
Light up if you’re feeling happy
But if it’s bad then let those tears roll down

Some people in love
But all they got’s a photograph
How can they get it
Too scared to open their mouths and laugh
I said

Show some emotion
Put expression in your eyes
Light up if you’re feeling happy
But if it’s bad then let those tears roll down

Forever Young

Song written by Bob Dylan

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the light surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
And may you stay forever young
May you stay forever young

Crazy Love

Song written by Van Morrison

I can hear her heartbeat from a thousand miles

Hear the heavens open every time she smiles

And when I come to her that’s where I belong

Yet, I’m run into to her like a river strong

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She got a fine sense of humor when I’m feeling low down

And when I come home to her when the sun goes down

Takes my troubles all away, take away my grief

Take away my heartache, in the night like a thief

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yes I need, yes I need her in the daytime

And oh I need, yes I need her in the night

I want to throw my arms all around her

To kiss and hug and kiss and hug her tight

And oh And when I’m returning from so far away

She gives me sweet sweet lovin’, brighten up my day

It make me righteous and it makes me whole

Makes me mellow, down into my soul

She, she gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She gives me love, love, love, crazy love

One more time, she gives love, la la la love (crazy love)

When I wake up in the morning

She gives me love, love, love, Crazy Love

With a Little Help from My Friends

Song written by John Lennon & Paul McCartney

What would you think if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me? Lend me your ears and I’ll sing you a song And I’ll try not to sing out of key Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends What do I do when my love is away? Does it worry you to be alone? How do I feel by the end of the day? Are you sad because you’re on your own? No, I get by with a little help from my friends Mm, get high with a little help from my friends Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends Do you need anybody? I need somebody to love Could it be anybody? I want somebody to love Would you believe in a love at first sight? Yes, I’m certain that it happens all the time What do you see when you turn out the light? I can’t tell you, but I know it’s mine Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends Mm, get high with a little help from my friends Oh, I’m gonna try with a little help from my friends Do you need anybody? I just need someone to love Could it be anybody? I want somebody to love Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends Oh, I get high with a little help from my friends Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends With a little help from my friends

Old Man

Song written by Neil Young

Old man, look at my life
I’m a lot like you were
Old man, look at my life
I’m a lot like you were

Old man, look at my life
Twenty four and there’s so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two

Love lost, such a cost
Give me things that don’t get lost
Like a coin that won’t get tossed
Rolling home to you

Old man, take a look at my life, I’m a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that’s true

Lullabies, look in your eyes
Run around the same old town
Doesn’t mean that much to me
To mean that much to you

I’ve been first and last
Look at how the time goes past
But I’m all alone at last
Rolling home to you

Old man, take a look at my life, I’m a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that’s true

Old man, look at my life
I’m a lot like you were
Old man, look at my life
I’m a lot like you were

A Change Is Gonna Come

Song written by Sam Cooke

I was born by the river
In a little tent
Oh, and just like the river, I’ve been running
Ever since

It’s been a long
A long time coming, but I know
A change gon’ come
Oh yes, it will

It’s been too hard living
But I’m afraid to die
‘Cause I don’t know what’s up there
Beyond the sky

It’s been a long
A long time coming, but I know
A change gon’ come
Oh yes, it will

I go to the movie
And I go downtown
And somebody keep telling me
“Don’t hang around”

It’s been a long
A long time coming, but I know
A change gon’ come
Oh yes, it will

Then, I go to my brother
And I say, “Brother, help me, please”
But he winds up knockin’ me
Back down on my knees, oh

There been times that I thought
I couldn’t last for long
But now, I think I’m able
To carry on

It’s been a long
A long time coming, but I know
A change gon’ come
Oh yes, it will

All You Need Is Love

Song written by Paul Mccartney & John Lennon

Love is all you Need

Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say, but you can learn
How to play the game
It’s easy

Nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do, but you can learn
How to be you in time
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Love, love, love
Love, love, love
Love, love, love

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Nothing you can know that isn’t known
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown
There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where
You’re meant to be
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

All you need is love (all together now!)
All you need is love (everybody!)
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)

Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)

Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)
(Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (love is all you need)

Yesterday (love is all you need)
Oh (love is all you need)
(Love is all you need)
(Love is all you need)

Three Little Birds

Song written by Bob Marley

Don’t worry

About a thing,

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Singin’ don’t worry

About a thing

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Rise up this morning,

Smile with the rising sun,

Three little birds pitch by my doorstep

Singin’ sweet songs

Of melodies pure and true,

Singin’, ‘This is my message to you.’

Singin’ don’t worry

About a thing

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Singin’ don’t worry

About a thing

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Rise up this morning,

Smile with the rising sun,

Three little birds pitch by my doorstep

Singin’ sweet songs

Of melodies pure and true,

Singin’, ‘This is my message to you.’

Singin’ don’t worry

About a thing

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Singin’ don’t worry

About a thing

’Cos ev’ry little thing

‘Sgonna be alright.

Square One

Song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Had to find some higher ground
I had some fear to get around
You can’t say what you don’t know
And later on won’t work no more
And the last time through I hid my tracks
So well I could not get back
Yeah, my way was hard to find
Can’t sell your soul for peace of mind
Square one, my slate is clear
Rest your head on me, my dear
It took a world of trouble, took a world of tears
It took a long time to get back here
Try so hard to stand alone
Struggle to see past my nose
Always had more dogs than bones
I could never wear those clothes
It’s a dark victory
You won and you also lost
Told her she was satisfied
But it never came across
Square one, my slate is clear
Rest your head on me, my dear
It took a world of trouble, took a world of tears
It took a long time to get back here
Square one, my slate is clear
Rest your head on me, my dear
It took a world of trouble, took a world of tears
It took a long time to get back here
Square one, my slate is clear
Rest your head on me, my dear
It took a world of trouble, took a world of tears
Yeah, it took a long time to get back here

Angel From Montgomery

Song written by John Prine

I am an old woman
Named after my mother
My old man is another
Child that’s grown old

If dreams were thunder
And lightnin’ was desire
This old house would’ve burnt down
At a long time ago

Make me an angel
That flies from Montgomery
Make me a poster
Of an old rodeo

Just give me one thing
That I can hold on to
To believe in this livin’
Is just a hard way to go

When I was a young girl
Well, I had me a cowboy
He weren’t much to look at
Just a free ramblin’ man

But that was a long time
And no matter how I tried
Those years just flow by
Like a broken down dam

Make me an angel
That flies from Montgomery
Make me a poster
Of an old rodeo

Just give me one thing
That I can hold on to
To believe in this livin’
Is just a hard way to go

There’s flies in the kitchen
I can hear ’em they’re buzzin’
And I ain’t done nothin’ since I woke up today

How the hell can a person
Go to work in the mornin’
And come home in the evenin’
And have nothin’ to say

Make me an angel
That flies from Montgomery
Make me a poster
Of an old rodeo

Just give me one thing
That I can hold on to
To believe in this livin’
Is just a hard way to go

To believe in this livin’
Is just a hard way to go

Part of the Plan

Song written by Dan Fogelberg

I have these moments all steady and strong I’m feeling so holy and humble The next thing I know, I’m all worried and weak And I feel myself starting to crumble The meanings get lost, and the teachings get tossed And you don’t know what you’re gonna do next You wait for the sun but it never quite comes Some kind of message comes through to you Some kind of message comes through And it says to you Love when you can Cry when you have to Be who you must That’s a part of the plan Await your arrival With simple survival and One day, we’ll all understand One day, we’ll all understand One day, we’ll all understand I had a woman who gave me her soul But I wasn’t ready to take it Her heart was so fragile and heavy to hold And I was afraid I might break it Your conscience awakes and you see your mistakes And you wish someone would buy your confessions The days miss their mark, and the night gets so dark And some kind of message comes through to you Some kind of message shoots through And it says to you Love when you can Cry when you have to Be who you must That’s a part of the plan Await your arrival With simple survival and One day, we’ll all understand One day, we’ll all understand One day, we’ll all understand There is no Eden or heavenly gates That you’re gonna make it to one day But all of the answers you seek can be found In the dreams that you dream on the way

Spirit Bird

Song written by Xavier Rudd

Give it time, and we wonder why, do what we can, laugh, and we cry
And we sleep in your dust because we’ve seen this all before
Culture fades with tears and grace
Leaving us stunned hollow with shame
We have seen this all, seen this all before

Many tribes of a modern kind, doing brand-new work same spirit by side
Joining hearts and hands and ancestral twine, ancestral twine
Many tribes of a modern kind, doing brand-new work same spirit by side
Joining hearts and hands and ancestral twine, ancestral twine

Slowly it fades
Slowly we fade

Slowly you fade
Slowly you fade

Spirit bird he creaks and groans
She knows she has seen this all before
She has seen this all before, she has
Spirit bird he creaks and groans
She knows she has seen this all before
She has seen this all before, she has

Slowly we fade
Slowly it fades
Slowly you fade
Slowly it fades
Slowly you fade

Soldier on, soldier on my good countrymen
Keep fighting for your culture now, keep fighting for your land
I know it’s been thousands of years and I feel your hurt
And I know it’s wrong and you feel
You’ve been chained and broken and burned
And those beautiful old people, those wise old souls
Have been ground down for far too long

By that spineless man, that greedy man, that heartless man
Deceiving man, that government hand taking blood and land
Taking blood and land and still they can
But your dreaming and your warrior spirit lives on, and it is so, so, so strong
In the earth, in the trees, in the rocks
In the water, in your blood and in the air we breathe
Soldier on, soldier on my good countrymen
Keep fighting for your children now, keep fighting for your land

Slowly you fade
Slowly it fades
Slowly it fades
Slowly you fade

Give it time, and we wonder why, do what we can, laugh, and we cry
And we sleep in your dust because we’ve seen this all before

End of the Line

Song written by Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison & Tom Petty

Well it’s all right, riding around in the breeze Well it’s all right, if you live the life you please Well it’s all right, doing the best you can Well it’s all right, as long as you lend a hand You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring Waiting for someone to tell you everything Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring Maybe a diamond ring Well it’s all right, even if they say you’re wrong Well it’s all right, sometimes you gotta be strong Well it’s all right, As long as you got somewhere to lay Well it’s all right, everyday is Judgement Day Maybe somewhere down the road aways You’ll think of me, wonder where I am these days Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays Purple haze Well it’s all right, even when push comes to shove Well it’s all right, if you got someone to love Well it’s all right, everything’ll work out fine Well it’s all right, we’re going to the end of the line Don’t have to be ashamed of the car I drive I’m glad to be here, happy to be alive It don’t matter if you’re by my side I’m satisfied Well it’s all right, even if you’re old and grey Well it’s all right, you still got something to say Well it’s all right, remember to live and let live Well it’s all right, the best you can do is forgive Well it’s all right, riding around in the breeze Well it’s all right, if you live the life you please Well it’s all right, even if the sun don’t shine Well it’s all right, we’re going to the end of the line

Find Your People

Song written by Kevin Rhoads & Drew Holcomb

You gotta find your people The ones that make you feel alright The kind you want to stay up with all night You got to find your people The ones that make you feel whole That won’t leave your side when you lose control The ones that don’t let you lose your soul You gotta find your people The ones that get the joke Who understand what you’re saying before a word is spoke You gotta find your people That put the needle in the groove When you’re together, you got nothing to prove When you’re together, you got nothing to lose In a world of strangers, you don’t know who to trust All you see is danger, tryna find what you lost You can’t go in alone, everybody needs help You gotta find your people, then you’ll find yourself You gotta find your people That’ll call your bluff Who’ll ride along when the road is rough You gotta find your people The ones that you feel equal They pick you up and don’t put you down Help you find your way in the lost and found In a world of strangers, you don’t know who to trust All you see is danger, tryna find what you lost You can’t go in alone, everybody needs help You gotta find your people, then you’ll find yourself The ones that understand you The ones that lend a hand to you The ones that don’t demand anything from you You got to find your people The ones that make you feel alright That tell you the truth then wish you well You gotta find your people, then you’ll find yourself You gotta find your people, then you’ll find yourself

Peace in our Hearts

Song written by Eliza Gilkyson

We’re gonna walk together arm in arm with peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk together arm in arm with peace in our hearts Gonna walk together arm in arm So our sisters and brothers won’t come to any harm We know we got peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk with every color and tribe with peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk with every color and tribe with peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk with еvery color and tribe ‘Cause wе’re stronger together when we’re on the same side We know we got peace in our hearts We’re gonna stand for the Earth and the children too with peace in our hearts We’re gonna stand for the Earth and the children too with peace in our hearts Gonna stand for the earth and the children too ‘Cause it will take everyone to make this dream come true We know we got peace in our hearts We’re gonna stare into the face of the hateful mind with peace in our hearts We’re gonna stare into the face of the hateful mind with peace in our hearts We’re gonna stare into the face of the hateful mind All we gotta do is let our lovelight shine We know we got peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk together arm in arm with peace in our hearts We’re gonna walk together arm in arm with peace in our hearts Gonna walk together arm in arm So our sisters and brothers won’t come to any harm We know we got peace in our hearts We got so much love We know we got peace in our hearts

Immigration Man

Song written by David Crosby & Graham Nash

There I was at the immigration scene Shining and feeling clean Could it be a sin? I got stopped by the immigration man He says he doesn’t know if he can Let me in-let me in-immigration man Can I cross the line and pray I can stay another day Let me in immigration man I won’t toe your line today I can’t see it anyway There he was with his immigration face Giving me a paper chase But the sun was coming Cos all at once he looked into my space And stamped a number over my face And he sent me running Let me in-let me in-immigration man Can I cross the line and pray I can stay another day Let me in immigration man I won’t toe your line today I can’t see it anyway Here I am with my immigration form It’s big enough to keep me warm When a cold wind’s coming So go where you will So long as you think you can You’d better watch out-watch out-for the man Anywhere you’re going. Won’t you let me in immigration man Can I cross your line and pray Take your fingers from the tray Let me in-irritation man I won’t toe your line today I can’t see it anyway.

Call it Dreaming

Song written by Samuel Ervin Beam

Say it’s here where our pieces fall in place Any rain softly kisses us on the face Any wind means we’re running We can sleep and see ’em coming Where we drift and call it dreaming We can weep and call it singing Where we pray when our hearts are strong enough We can bow, ’cause our music’s warmer than blood Where we see enough to follow We can hear when we are hollow Where we keep the light we’re given We can lose and call it living Where the sun isn’t only sinking fast Every night knows how long it’s supposed to last Where the time of our lives is all we have And we get a chance to say Before we ease away For all the love you’ve left behind You can have mine Say it’s here where our pieces fall in place We can fear, ’cause the feeling’s fine to betray Where our water isn’t hidden We can burn and be forgiven Where our hands hurt from healing We can laugh without a reason ‘Cause the sun isn’t only sinking fast Every moon and our bodies make shining glass Where the time of our lives is all we have And we get a chance to say Before we ease away For all the love you’ve left behind You can have mine

Wildflowers

Song written by Tom Petty

You belong in a boat out at sea Sail away, kill off the hours You belong somewhere you feel free Run away, find you a lover Go away somewhere all bright and new I have seen no other Who compares with you You belong among the wildflowers You belong in a boat out at sea You belong with your love on your arm You belong somewhere you feel free Run away, go find a lover Run away, let your heart be your guide You deserve deepest of cover You belong in that home by and by You belong among the wildflowers You belong somewhere close to me Far away from your trouble and worry You belong somewhere you feel free You belong somewhere you feel free

A Beautiful Morning

Song written by Felix Cavaliere & Edward Brigati

It’s a beautiful morning, ah I think I’ll go outside for a while and just smile Just take in some clean fresh air, boy (Ain’t) no sense in staying inside If the weather’s fine and you got the time It’s your chance to wake up and plan another brand-new day it’s a beautiful morning, ah Each bird keeps singing his own song, so long I’ve got to be on my way now (Ain’t) no fun just hanging around I got to cover ground, you couldn’t keep me down It just ain’t no good if the sun shines When you’re still inside (shouldn’t hide) Still inside (shouldn’t hide) Still inside (shouldn’t hide) Still in-, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh Oo-ooh-ah-ah Oo-ooh-ah-ah There will be children with robins and flowers Sunshine caresses each new waking hour Seems to me that people keep seeing more and more each day (Gotta say) lead the way (It’s okay) brand-new day (Gotta say) it’s okay Wednesday, Thursday, it’s okay Oh, oh, oh-oh Oo-ooh-ah-ah Oh, oh, oh-oh Oo-ooh-ah-ah Whoa, oh, oh, oh-oh Oo-ooh-ah-ah Oh (ooh-ah-ah) Oh, oh, oh-oh Oo-ooh-ah-ah

Someday Soon

Song written by Graham Nash

Someday soon You will see by the light of day That someday soon All your worries will fade away Keep holding on To the love that has made you strong And someday soon Heartache will all be gone Someday soon I hope good things come to you And someday soon Hope your wishes all come true Keep holding on To the love that has brought you here And someday soon Darkness will disappear When life’s too hard to bear for you to take it Have faith in what you do You’ve got to tell yourself that you can make it through Someday soon You will get to be your best And someday soon You will finaly get some rest Keep holding on To the love that came your way And someday soon Shadows will fall away

Midnight Rider

Song written by Gregg Allman & Kim Payne

Well, I’ve got to run to keep from hidin’ And I’m bound to keep on ridin’ And I’ve got one more silver dollar But I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no Not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider And I don’t own the clothes I’m wearing And the road goes on forever And I’ve got one more silver dollar But I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no Not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider And I’ve gone by the point of caring Some old bed I’ll soon be sharing And I’ve got one more silver dollar But I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no Not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider No, I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no Not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider No, I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no I’m not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider No, I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no I’m not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider Not gonna let ’em catch the midnight rider

Learning to Fly

Song written by Jeff Lynne & Tom Petty

Well I started out down a dirty road Started out all alone And the sun went down as I crossed the hill And the town lit up, the world got still I’m learning to fly, but I ain’t got wings Coming down is the hardest thing Well, the good ol’ days may not return And the rocks might melt and the sea may burn I’m learning to fly (learning to fly) but I ain’t got wings (learning to fly) Coming down (learning to fly) is the hardest thing (learning to fly) Well, some say life will beat you down Break your heart, steal your crown So I’ve started out for God-knows-where I guess I’ll know when I get there I’m learning to fly, around the clouds But what goes up (learning to fly) must come down I’m learning to fly (learning to fly), but I ain’t got wings Coming down is the hardest thing I’m learning to fly (learning to fly), around the clouds But what goes up (learning to fly) must come down I’m learning to fly (learning to fly) (Learning to fly) learning to fly (Learning to fly) (Learning to fly) (Learning to fly) (Learning to fly)

Carolina in My Mind

Song written by James Taylor

In my mind I’m gone to Carolina Can’t you see the sunshine? Can’t you just feel the moonshine? Ain’t it just like a friend of mine To hit me from behind? Yes, I’m gone to Carolina in my mind Karin, she’s a silver sun You best walk her way and watch it shine And watch her watch the morning come A silver tear appearing now I’m cryin’, ain’t I? Gone to Carolina in my mind There ain’t no doubt in no ones mind That love’s the finest thing around Whisper something soft and kind And hey babe, the sky’s on fire I’m dying, ain’t I? Gone to Carolina in my mind In my mind I’m gone to Carolina Can’t you see the sunshine? Can’t you just feel the moonshine? And, ain’t it just like a friend of mine To hit me from behind? Yes, I’m gone to Carolina in my mind Dark and silent, late last night, I think I might have heard the highway call And geese in flight and dogs that bite The signs that might be omens say I’m goin’, I’m goin’ I’m gone to Carolina in my mind With a holy host of others standin’ around me Still I’m on the dark side of the moon And it seems like it goes on like this forever You must forgive me, if I’m up and gone to Carolina in my mind In my mind I’m goin’ to Carolina Can’t you see the sunshine? Can’t you just feel the moonshine? Ain’t is just like a friend of mine To hit me from behind Yes, I’m gone to Carolina in my mind Gone to Carolina in my mind And I’m goin’ to Carolina in my mind Goin’ to Carolina in my mind Gone, I’m gone, I’m gone Say nice things about me ’cause I’m gone south now Got to carry on without me, I’m gone

The Beginning

Song written by Bobby Mc Ferrin Jr. & Kevin R. Moore

When I die I won’t be gone I’ll be living In the everlasting And while I’m here I hope that I can find The answers to the question Life keeps asking ‘Cause in the end It’s a new beginning And when I dream I’m dreaming of a place And a knowing that’s Impossible to learn It is here, right before your eyes Everywhere you go, everywhere you turn Early in the morning Late at night ‘Cause in the end It’s a new beginning In my life There’s beauty everywhere On the mountain high And the valley so low But when I leave And my soul flies away Somewhere to a place That nobody really knows When I get there Probably won’t write no letter You just got to come on And see for yourself ‘Cause in the end It’s a new beginning Just gotta come on in See for yourself ‘Cause in the end It’s just a new beginning

Song written by Bobby McFerrin

Daydream

Song written by John Sebastian

What a day for a daydream What a day for a daydreamin’ boy And I’m lost in a daydream Dreamin’ ’bout my bundle of joy And even if time ain’t really on my side It’s one of those days for takin’ a walk outside I’m blowin’ the day to take a walk in the sun And fall on my face on somebody’s new-mowed lawn I’ve been havin’ a sweet dream I been dreamin’ since I woke up today It’s starrin’ me and my sweet thing ‘Cause she’s the one makes me feel this way And even if time is passin’ me by a lot I couldn’t care less about the dues you say I got Tomorrow I’ll pay the dues for droppin’ my load A pie in the face for bein’ a sleepy bull toad And you can be sure that if you’re feelin’ right A daydream will last long into the night Tomorrow at breakfast you may prick up your ears Or you may be daydreamin’ for a thousand years What a day for a daydream Custom-made for a daydreamin’ boy And I’m lost in a daydream Dreamin’ ’bout my bundle of joy

BOX OF RAIN

Song written by Robert Hunter & Phil Lesh

Look out of any window Any morning, any evening, any day Maybe the sun is shining Birds are winging or rain is falling from a heavy sky What do you want me to do To do for you to see you through? For this is all a dream we dreamed One afternoon long ago Walk out of any doorway Feel your way, feel your way like the day before Maybe you’ll find direction Around some corner where it’s been waiting to meet you What do you want me to do To watch for you while you’re sleeping? Then please don’t be surprised When you find me dreaming too Look into any eyes you find by you You can see clear through to another day Maybe it’s been seen before through other eyes On other days while going home What do you want me to do To do for you to see you through? It’s all a dream we dreamed One afternoon long ago Walk into splintered sunlight Inch your way through dead dreams to another land Maybe you’re tired and broken Your tongue is twisted with words half spoken And thoughts unclear What do you want me to do To do for you to see you through? A box of rain will ease the pain And love will see you through Just a box of rain, wind and water Believe it if you need it If you don’t, just pass it on Sun and shower, wind and rain In and out the window Like a moth before a flame And it’s just a box of rain I don’t know who put it there Believe it if you need it Or leave it if you dare And it’s just a box of rain Or a ribbon for your hair Such a long, long time to be gone And a short time to be there

Get Together

Song written by Chester Powers

Love is but a song we sing Fear’s the way we die You can make the mountains ring Or make the angels cry Though the bird is on the wing And you may not know why Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now Some may come and some may go He will surely pass When the one that left us here Returns for us at last We are but a moment’s sunlight Fading in the grass Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now If you hear the song I sing You will understand, listen You hold the key to love and fear All in your trembling hand Just one key unlocks them both It’s there at your command Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now Come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now I said, come on, people now Smile on your brother Everybody get together Try to love one another right now Right now Right now.

Beautiful Days

Song written by Drew McManus (Singer for band Satsang)

For every hour that I spend down on bended knees Screaming to the skies saying let me be Now I am grateful, so grateful For every single one of my lost friends Who travel through tunnels with no light at the end I am thankful, so thankful For everyday that I awake and the sun comes up For the woman that I love, and the tea in my cup For the kids that I’m raising that help raise me For the man that I was and the one that I’ll be, yeah These are some beautiful days we’re living in I couldn’t be more thrilled with the skin I’m in I said I’m present and grateful for that the god and the love keep me moving, said the love keep me moving, cause their ain’t no need, no need to stop La da da da dat da Heeeey yeahh aayyyy For the fact that I was abused as a child And still possess the strength to wear a smile I am grateful, so grateful And for the angry young man that I used to be And the one I’ve become for my family I am thankful, so thankful For my two arms, two legs One heart to build strength One voice, six strings and the love that it brings Forces the full brother, two father, two mother, one daughter, two sons, one woman, that’s love These are some beautiful days we’re living in And I couldn’t be more thrilled with the skin I’m in I said I’m present and grateful for that The god and the love keep me moving, said the love keep me moving Cause their ain’t no need No need to stop

Goin’ Back

Song written by Nils Lofgren

I think I’m goin’ back
To the things I learned so well in my youth,
I think I’m returning to
The days when I was young enough to know the truth

Now there are no games
To only pass the time
No more coloring books,
No Christmas bells to chime
But thinking young and growing older is no sin
And I can play the game of life to win

I can recall a time,
When I wasn’t afraid to reach out to a friend
And now I think I’ve got
A lot more than a skipping rope to lift

Now there’s more to do
Than watch my sailboat glide
Then everyday can be my magic carpet ride
And I can play hide and seek with my fears,
And live my life instead of counting my years

Let everyone debate the true reality,
I’d rather see the world the way it used to be
A little bit of freedom, all we’re left
So catch me if you can
I’m goin’ back

I can recall,
I can remember

I can recall,
I can remember

I can recall,
I can remember

Inspiring Quotes

“When we let go of needing to be right, or needing others to align with our views, we make space for love. Real love. The kind that sees the light even in someone else’s shadow.” – Ram Dass

“Appreciate and hold on to what you have, because everything in life has value in one way or another. Let go and forget what causes you pain, as clinging to wounds only prevents you from moving forward. Fight with determination for what you truly desire, without giving up in the face of obstacles that may arise along the way. Treasure everything you possess, both the material and the intangible, because we often don’t realize the importance of something until we lose it. Learn to forgive those who have hurt you, because resentment only chains the soul and keeps you from being free. And above all, enjoy the company of those who love you, because their love is the greatest gift you can receive. Life is too short to fill it with grudges or negativity.” – Bob Marley

“The fastest learners are not the smartest.  They are the most humble.  They ask more questions.  They make more mistakes.   They are not afraid to look like beginners.  Ego slows you down.  Curiosity speeds you up.  Stay a student, always.

“I prayed for change, so I changed my mind. I prayed for guidance and learned to trust myself. I prayed for happiness and realized I am not my ego. I prayed for peace and learned to accept others unconditionally. I prayed for abundance and realized my doubt kept it out. I prayed for wealth and realized it is my health. I prayed for a miracle and realized I am the miracle. I prayed for a soul mate and realized I am the One. I prayed for love and realized It’s always knocking, but I have to allow it in.” – Rumi

“Aging is not for the weak. One day you wake up and realize that your youth is gone, but along with it, so go insecurity, haste, and the need to please… You learn to walk more slowly, but with greater certainty. You say goodbye without fear, and you cherish those who stay. Aging means letting go, it means accepting, it means discovering that beauty was never in our skin… but in the story we carry inside us.” -Meryl Streep

“A free man belongs to himself and nobody else. A free man is simply an energy with no name, no form, no race, no nation. The days of nations and races are past, the days of the individual are coming. In a better world there will be no Germans, no Americans, no Indians, no Hindus, no Christians, no Jews, there will be pure individuals, perfectly free, living their life in their own way, no disturbing anybody’s life and not allowing anybody to disturb their lives. – Osho

Travel Tips

Now this is a worldly topic. My main suggestion is to get out and travel. The world is a big place and I have personally found travel to be a great form of education. I enjoy learning about new cultures, tasting new foods, listening to new music and being humbled by the vast array of lifestyles in the world! Oh, and one main attraction for me is nature (or as a friend of mine calls it, Vitamin N. Nature rejuvenates and serves my body, mind and soul. I am not the busiest of travelers however I have travled to 46 states in my native USA as well as the following countries: Australia, Canada, Fiji, Greece, India, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Qatar, the Republic of Maldives and Spain. I find the obvious tip in having friends or family members living in countries I want to explore be my guides. The good news is that even if that is not possible making new friends in foreign countries can be easy and adventurouswa
